Hummingbirds are crucial to our environment as pollinators. Unfortunately due to climate change and other human activities, more than 250 hummingbird species (68 percent of all hummingbird species) are declining in population — some, such as the Chilean Woodstar, are disappearing quite rapidly.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species includes 20 species of hummingbirds listed as endangered or critically endangered, with a total of 54 species in high-risk categories: Near Threatened (21 species), Vulnerable (13 species), Endangered (12 species), and Critically Endangered (8 species).

To help the conservation of these at-risk hummingbird species we have partnered with nonprofit organizations to support projects aimed at reversing these trends.

Death is one thing, but an end to birth is another.
